What is the difference between regular high speed internet and high speed dial-up?

I am looking at signing up for High speed internet with Prairie online they offer $25.00 High speed dial up internet. I am currently with Mts paying $45.00 a month. Will this be using my phone line? While I'm on the internet will I not be able to use my phone? How much is the speed difference for DLing or streaming? What is the difference between regular high speed internet and high speed dial-up?
dial-up gets at its very best (ISDN on both lines at ones so that you can't use the phone while online) 128kb/s (if you have an ISDN phone line and use only one channel for internet you onl get 64kb/s but can use the phone while online, if you have a POTS line you can't do both simultaneously and get at best 56kb/s), and I don't think DSL comes with any less than 2,048kb/s these days going up to well over 20,000kb/s depending on your plan and location. What is the difference between regular high speed internet and high speed dial-up?
Most Telephone Service are Analog and don't interfere with High-speed Didtial Services and sometimes you need a filter to remove the static from the Analog Phone Line. Yes you can still freely use the Phone while you are cerfing the internet.
If you use Highspeed dial-up (often cheaper but not by much) your top speed is often only 56 kbps and Normal DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) runs Normally 350 kbps up and 1.5 Mbps Down. What is the difference between regular high speed internet and high speed dial-up?
yes it will be using your phone line, and it will be horribly slow compared to what you currently have both for downloading and uploading.
Dial-up is slow. No, you won't be able to use your phone.

Please include your current internet's speeds vs what the other person is offering (this is typically given in Mbps or Kbps). Then I can tell you how slow it is going.

And $45 a month is pretty high unless your internet is super fast (I pay $43 and get 12Mbps).
