Internet Explorer not connecting to internet and making yahoo messenger not work?

My yahoo messenger just recently stopped working apparently because internet explorer won't connect to my internet. I have mozilla firefox and it works fine but IE won't work and I can't go onto any web page on it. I did the troubleshooter for yahoo messenger and it says there is a possible problem with HTTP connection. From there, I have no idea what to do because it goes into things I dont understand. Yahoo Messenger uses some of Internet Explorer's components.

check if your firewall blocks your IE or YM you can also temporarily disable your computer security to isolate the problem. Restart the computer also.

Try this, it worked for me:



Open Internet explorer

Tools tab %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; restore Adanced Settings and Reset Internet Explorer settings.

Restart Internet explorer
