How do people get Internet connection on airplanes with their laptops?

I am going to Korea in a few months (I'm in America), and I am planning to bring my laptop to kill the time. I was wondering though...

1) What do you need to get Internet connection on the airplane? Does the airplane provide it for you? Or do you need something else?



2) Is it possible to charge my laptop on the airplane? If not, how can I get it to last 12 hours of flight?

Not sure of any airlines that have a Wifi network to the internet.





Some aircraft have 110 outlets mounted between the seats.
Check with the airline. Or, you could get a lot of different answers here and take your pick of the best one. Heck, the airline might even have a web page that has the info.



You could bring a second battery, but that would only give you another 2 hours at best. So, if you can't plug it in, you are hosed.

the only airline that I know for sure has internet is Virgin America. Im going on a flight tomorrow, and i wish my airline had internet...
Some airlines are introducing WIFI on flights...It varies airline to airline.
