I am a college student and need to buy internet for my home. I want to know which one is good for internets, but cheap. One that I can use when I go to my parent's house and here at my current residence. What internet provider is good for laptops?
There are many internet providers such as Clear-wire, Time Warner Cable, AT%26amp;T, etc...
I think it depends on how fast you want your internet is and how much you like to pay for it every month.
If you just want internet for browsing website, reading mails and searching, you can choose the basic option from AT%26amp;T.
For example: AT%26amp;T offer $15/month for 3mps which I think is really slow.
If you want internet for streaming music, video or downloading then you need a faster connection. In this case I think Time Warner Cable has the best. I just got their service this month which is $30/month for 10mps.
You don't need a computer to get the internet, what you need is a router modem which the internet providers will give you.
Then if you want a wireless connection, you have to buy a router wireless (anywhere in walmart, bestbuy...). A good router will keep your connection stable and fast.
Go for PCMIA cards or USB dongles(atleast 3G).PCMIA fits inside laptop %26amp; USB dongles work with both pc %26amp; laptops. What internet provider is good for laptops?
You can't have the same account at both places to begin with. Secondly, it depends on what is available in those areas.
If it's available, get AT%26amp;T U-verse. Elite should work fine (the 6Mbps one), although there's no real issue with Pro (3Mbps) unless you're a downloading person. What internet provider is good for laptops?
depends what area you live
