How do phone or internet signals coexist on one line?
I've wondered this for a long time...
What actually happens in the box that connects your house to the telephone line, and how, exactly, is it connected? Does one twist from the phone line's wiring intersect? Does the entire phone line pass through? Is there a separate line in the plastic housing for each house?
And if there isn't a separate line for each house, then how does the traffic get filtered and modified? Why couldn't you listen to someone else's call?

I am one who is looking for reasons. I am writing a paper on why the internet should be totally eliminated. It does sound extreme and it is but I need some places to look. I think Yahoo BB is a choice. That place connects it really quit and disconnects it quit when u want it disconnect. I dont know much places that has fast internet. I once rented a application that took about a minute to load a page. Sorry i couldnt give much selections.

I have a lynksis router. Its okay but the internet is not very fast and it often loses its connection often.

How far away are your room from the wireless router? If it is far that is why you are having a slow connection. I am sure you have a weak signal. What you can do is the go into the router and increase the signal strength strong enough to reach you but not strong enough to get out of the house. Try changing the wireless "channel" on your Linksys. If you have a 2.4Ghz cordless telephone in the house you need to test that against each wireless channel. First change to the new channel (possibly including rebooting your router), verify that your internet still works, then pick up the cordless phone until you hear a dial tone, then try to browse the web with the phone held next to your computer's wireless adapter. Continue to change the channel and test with the phone until you find a channel that works while you are using the phone.
You will have the same problem with interference even if you buy a new wireless router. Change the channels first to make sure before you buy anything new.

next best thing isa car PC... and they run about 600-700 baseline uninstalled.... although they are friggin spanktacular... go youtube "streetdeck" sometime.. thats the best front end software for a car PC and as i said before its friggin spanktacular

I live near a public library and they provide a new public wi-fi network. I have already a pci ethernet card and I have installed it on my computer. Internet Explorer not connecting to internet and making yahoo messenger not work?
My yahoo messenger just recently stopped working apparently because internet explorer won't connect to my internet. I have mozilla firefox and it works fine but IE won't work and I can't go onto any web page on it. I did the troubleshooter for yahoo messenger and it says there is a possible problem with HTTP connection. From there, I have no idea what to do because it goes into things I dont understand. How can I disable specific Internet Explorer 6 add-ons and apply it to all users?
I need to disable specific internet explorer 6 add-ons because it is interfering with a web application that we have where we work. The issue I need to disable those specific add-ons and apply it to all users that log on to their workstation. I am trying to use Group Policy but what I have found in searching the internet is that I have to look for AppID and use it in the Group Policy. Is there another way around it? Internet Explorer 6 is 10 years old, outdated, and extremely unsafe. No company in 2010 should still be using this crap. There is no answer for this. Move on to IE 8 or wait for 9 which will be even better. In the mean time, use Firefox or Google Chrome until you can upgrade. If your IT department refuses to do this, you need a new IT department.
